This week has been an emotional roller-coaster for all of us. We appreciate your patience and help in these nightmarish times, but things are looking good ahead.
After PAX AUS we have been hit hard, lots of new users and our little family grew quickly, and our hosting could not bear the load. Upon implementing changes to try to optimize our website better, we also realized that the launchers started DDOS-ing the website taking it completely down. Many hours of research/phonecalls and optimization later we had to come to the sad realization that we will not be able to provide quality service on the platform we were on. A change was necessary, and after finding a suitable host we have started our server migration immediately.
Unfortunately, there were new, and completely different complications on the new server when it came to our authorization/analytics scripts, but I am relieved to report – they have been solved as well. If anyone still struggles to log in / installing, please make sure that you are on the latest launcher version: 2.3.0.2.
We would like to thank you for your help and apologize for the inconvenience caused by this struggle. Having a quality, scalable and reputable host behind us, and handling patching on a separate server from now on will have many advantages, and it was a necessary move forward, but it demanded some serious sacrifice. We will do our best to ensure that an outage wont happen again!
